Dr. Sklenak is the owner of Southbridge Veterinary Hospital. She has been practicing in the Southbridge area for over 20 years. Dr. Sklenak has focused on preventative health and wellness for the patient and client education for the pet owner. Southbridge Veterinary Hospital is proud to be a follower of fear free veterinary care and strives for low stress handling of your pet.
Dr. Sklenak is a 1988 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a 1994 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Professionally, she is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Sklenak has a special interest in behavior modification and works with local trainers to provide the medical side of working with emotionally challenged patients. Dogs with separation anxiety, fearfulness, fear aggression, and reactivity each provide a unique challenge and can be greatly helped with medication and support of a certified trainer.
She has lived in the Southbridge area since 1997. She shares her farm with a dog, cat, pony and small flock of chickens. In her spare time, Dr. Sklenak enjoys trying different sports with her Doberman Pinscher, Taz. Together, they have tried and titled in the conformation ring, Rally, Barn Hunt and Coursing Ability Tests. They have also enjoyed taking lesson in Nosework and Agility.
